Vanity Fair, a magazine about Hollywood, has launched a new vertical. About Hollywood. “Vanity Fair’s Hollywood” debuted today, and unlike Vanity Fair, it… Okay, it’s the exact same thing as Vanity Fair.

Mike Hogan, digital director for the glossy, tried his best to provide a reason for the new site’s existence. “The idea was to grow VanityFair.com over the course of the next year, and so my suggestion was that we zero in on a few areas where we really have authority and we can win,” he told Capital New York.

Oh! Well that makes sense.
