RD Recap: Will Dana Leaves Rolling Stone; New Leadership at Gawker

Revolving DoorWill Dana is out as managing editor of Rolling Stone. The 19-year veteran of the magazine doesn’t have another job lined up and is presumably departing as a result of the discredited University of Virginia campus rape story. Men’s Journal editor Jason Fine is reportedly about to step into the lead RS role. Meanwhile, Jann Wenner is dealing with at least two pending lawsuits relating to the piece. He initially said that no one would lose their job as a result of the story, but the famously fickle founder appears to have altered that decision.
