Pacific Standard Names Editor

A promotion from within.

Pacific Standard has promoted Nicholas Jackson to editor in chief. He most recently served as interim editor in chief of the magazine.

Before joining Pacific Standard, Jackson worked as digital editorial director for Outside. Prior to that, he was an associate editor at The Atlantic.

Nick and others on our editorial team represent the best of an emerging generation of journalists; they’re increasingly collaborative, and will draw on the wisdom and lessons of earlier leaders and harness the promise of rising technologies to inform solutions to our most critical challenges,” said Sara Miller McCune, Pacific Standard’s founder, executive chairman, and publisher, in a statement.
