Josh Tyrangiel Departs Bloomberg Businessweek

Ellen Pollock will take over as editor.

A major shakeup at Bloomberg: Josh Tyrangiel is leaving the company and Ellen Pollock will succeed him as editor of Bloomberg Businessweek.

Tyrangiel had been editor of Businessweek since 2009. He was also named Bloomberg’s senior executive editor of consumer products in 2013. During his time with Businessweek, Tyrangiel put the magazine on the map via unique stories and creative designs. In 2012, Businessweek won the National Magazine Award for General Excellence. That same year, Tyrangiel was named Ad Age’s editor of the year.
