Daily News Editor Colin Myler Departs Paper

Jim Rich takes over as editor in chief.

Colin Myler, editor in chief of The New York Daily News, is leaving the paper. Myler joined the tabloid in 2012.

According to a memo sent to staffers, Myler is leaving the paper so he can spend more time with his family.

Myler was previously an executive editor for the The New York Post. He also worked for News Corp.’s News Of The World when it was under investigation for phone hacking.

Taking over Myler’s spot as the Daily News’ editor in chief is Jim Rich.
