The next month or so are going to be quite stressful for Bloomberg staffers. According to The New York Post, the company is going to cut 100 editorial employees; with pink slips getting handed out by Labor Day. Talk about a shitty way to end the summer.
The cuts are expected to mostly hit Bloomberg’s politics and government teams in New York and D.C. As always, the layoffs are coming because the company is looking to cut costs.
Bloomberg employs about 2,700 journalists. Well, it does now, at least.
