Four More Resign From The New Republic Under Chris Hughes

It’s getting even quieter over at The New Republic. Four more employees have resigned from the progressive magazine amid turmoil over the new leadership just ahead of the new year.

Managing editor Linda Kinstler, deputy editor Amanda Silverman, assistant literary editor Becca Rothfeld and reporter Yishai Schwartz are the latest in a slew of TNR staffers to resign from the masthead, Politico first reported.  

Last month, editors Frank Foer and Leon Wieseltier submitted their resignations as a direct result of disagreements with TNR’s new owner Chris Hughes and CEO Guy Vidra over the vision for the magazine’s future.
