The struggles continue for game developer Zynga, as the company confirmed that it will shutter its operations in Japan, just two months after laying off more than 100 employees in Austin and closing its Boston studio.

Zynga hinted in October when it announced its first round of cuts that it might close its offices in Chicago, Japan, and the U.K., and now it appears that at least the middle one has suffered that fate.

Zynga Japan will be shut down at the end of January.
