YouTube’s First Sneak Peek Of ‘Life In A Day’ Is Breathtaking

YouTube has released the first in a series of teasers for Ridley Scott & Kevin Macdonald's 'Life In A Day' YouTube project and it is absolutely stunning. Check it out after the jump.

I have been looking forward to seeing Ridley Scott & Kevin Macdonald’s ‘Life In A Day’ YouTube project since it was first announced back in July. The world-renowned film directors asked YouTubers to submit videos of their lives on July 24, 2010. Now they’ve gone through all the submissions, and cut their favorites into a feature documentary. The official premiere isn’t until later this month, on January 27 at Sundance, but if the first teaser for the film has anything to say about it, ‘Life In A Day’ is going to be amazing.

YouTube announced today on the company blog that they will be releasing a series of clips from the film between now and its world premiere at Sundance. The first of these clips is of a little girl in Spain, climbing a human tower on July 24. The footage was shot by Toniu Xou and Patricia Marinez dei Hoyoa and is seriously stunning. With over 80,000 clips submitted I had a feeling that there were going to be some real diamonds in there, but the quality and emotion of this clip far surpassed my expectations.

I can’t wait to see the other teasers leading up to the big day and, of course, I cannot wait to see the full ‘Life In A Day’ film. 1125 of the 80,000 clips submitted made it into the final cut, which premiers on Thursday, January 27 at 5pm PT on YouTube. The film will be broadcast live the following day as well for international viewers, in their local time zones.

What do you think of the teaser? Are you as excited to see ‘Life In A Day’ as I am?
