Youth News Services in Los Angeles Receives Big Grant

Youth News Service Los Angeles Bureau has received a $60,000 grant from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation. Student journalists will use the money to write a series of articles on California’s budget crisis and its impact on schools, libraries, parks, police departments and youth-serving organizations. Here’s hoping the youth dig up a little something about Prop 13 and spread it to their fellow classmates.

UC Berkeley was California’s other grant recipient from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation.
