Yahoo Turns to Print to Fill Key Sales Post

Yahoo is turning to the print world to fill its long-vacant top sales role.

According to Allthingsd.com, the portal is set to install Wayne Powers, who was most recently president of the Time Inc. Media Group, as its new svp, advertising sales for North America.

Powers, who handled corporate sales and marketing for titles such as Time, Fortune, Sports Illustrated and People, will take over a position left vacant when former Yahoo sales chief Joanne Bradford left the company for Demand Media in March.
