Facebook continues to scoop up domain names, this time acquiring the URL for wwwFacebook.com in order to ensure that users who inadvertently leave out the period after www still arrive at the social network.
Facebook continues to scoop up domain names, this time acquiring the URL for wwwFacebook.com in order to ensure that users who inadvertently leave out the period after www still arrive at the social network.
Fusible reported that the Whois record for the URL changed over to Facebook earlier this month, after being sold in 2007 to an unnamed owner for more than $15,000, as reported then by DN Journal.
According to Fusible, it is not known whether Facebook paid the domain’s previous owner, but wwwFacebook.com
