WSJ. September Issue Sets Records

tkFor a fashion magazine, there’s nothing better than September. Which is why WSJ. staffers are likely doing some celebrating today. WSJ.’s September Women’s Fashion edition, which hits newsstands August 15, is the magazine’s biggest issue ever.

WSJ.’s upcoming issue packs 100 ad pages, compared to 90 in last year’s September issue. That’s good for an 11 percent increase in total pages. Fashion and luxury pages are up nine percent compared to last year. There’s also new blood — 32 percent of the advertisers are new to WSJ.

We know ad page news isn’t exactly sexy. However, advertisers keep magazines’ doors open, so dammit, try to act excited.
