– The NPR intern who was stabbed last week in a random incident in Washington, D.C. is on the mend and still working. During the first edition of NPR‘s online show “Intern Edition” Annie Ropeik introduced the show from her hospital bed. “She introduced it live yesterday via the wonders of speakerphone (which was piped through the room’s speakers so everyone could hear),” said NPR Spokesman Emerson Brown to FishbowlDC. “Big round of applause and cheers when she said hello.”
