Angilee Shah interviewed Daniel Weintraub about how freelancers can break into Weintraub’s HealthyCal.org, the startup he launched last year after leaving the Sacramento Bee.
According to Shah: Weintraub’s site is “looking for new contributors from all over the state to connect Sacramento politics with ground realities.”
In Weintraub’s words: “We are looking for one or two stories per month out of several communities around California, but the exact number of stories will depend on how many contributors we have in each location and the flow of the news…We’re looking for people in central Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Long Beach, the Coachella Valley, and in Bakersfield, Merced, Fresno, Salinas and the Bay Area.
