Women's NCAA Player Speaks Out on Behalf of Kidney Nonprofit
James Madison University’s run on the women’s side of the NCAA tournament might be over, but for its star player, Dawn Evans, the fight against kidney disease continues.
Evans is the ambassador for The NephCure Foundation, a nonprofit supporting the efforts to cure kidney disease. Evans has focal segmental glomerular sclerosis, an incurable kidney disease, and the same one that drove NBA superstar Alonzo Mourning to a kidney transplant.
