Will Kindles Become Phones?
Will Amazon try to go after Apple further by making a phone enabled Kindle? David Rothman at Teleread thinks that this is possible.
From Teleread: “A phone option for the Kindle would be Jeff Bezos’s way to weaken the iPhone’s multi advantage.”
If this is true, it might be better to order a new 3G Kindle, rather than just the Wi-Fi enabled version. The Teleread piece goes on: “Perhaps you would pay extra for a wireless connection that worked with the phone.
