Why Washington D.C. Gossip Sucks
This weekend we have a prime example of Washington gossip that is about as gossipy as ex Sen. Rick Santorum‘s (R-Pa.) son robotically clapping behind him during his speech in Iowa. In other words, who cares? Of course the kid was clapping. What else would be do, stand there looking bored while his dad runs for president?
In the same vein, of course Iowa Straw Poll winner Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) gave country singer Randy Travis, who performed in her tent, a hug.
