White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs Joins Twitter

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs joined Twitter, setting up the @PressSec account, CNN reported on its CNN Political Ticker.

Gibbs was the latest in the administration of President Barack Obama to join the microblogging service, according to CNN, joining Lynda Tran, national press secretary for Obama’s grassroots political organization Organizing for America; Democratic National Committee national press secretary Hari Sevugan; DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse; and deputy White House press secretary Bill Burton.

CNN also reported that Organizing for America is looking to hire a social networks manager to oversee the @BarackObama Twitter account.
