WHCD: CNN Embraces the Hangover

The cable news net is encouraging guests to "save their fancy pants for the garden and dress for comfort."

If you’re tracking the spectacle that is White House Correspondents Dinner Weekend, take note: Sunday is the new Friday.  Sunday morning has long consisted of a few elegant affairs.  Mimosas atop the Hay Adams with Reuters.  Rubbing elbows in the backyard of Robert Allbritton‘s palatial Georgetown manse.  Dignified indeed…until this year.

Enter CNN and their first-ever Political Hangover Brunch. The cable news net is encouraging guests to “save their fancy pants for the garden and dress for comfort.” A cheeky cartoon invitation lists the date as  “Sunday Funday,” discourages “jorts,” and suggests “walk of shame” as a means of transportation.

The event promises a day of hangover pleasures — a biscuit bar, build-your-own bloody marys, dope jams, and games like skee ball and beer pong. Count us in.

And consider this post our official flip cup challenge to Jake Tapper.  Think you can take FBDC, JT?
