WhatsApp reached a big milestone, revealing Wednesday that it now has 2 billion users globally.
The Facebook-owned messaging application reached the 1 billion mark in February 2016 and surpassed 1.5 billion in January 2018.
WhatsApp also rolled out a new privacy website, with information on end-to-end encryption, two-factor authentication and other privacy features and settings available to users.
WhatsApp said in a blog post, “Private conversations that once were only possible face-to-face can now take place across great distances through instant chats and video calling.
