WhatsApp Just Began Rolling Out Group Voice and Video Calling

The Facebook-owned messaging app said its users spend more than 2 billion minutes on calls every day.

Users with access to the new feature can start group calls with up to a total of four people by starting a one-on-one voice or video call, and then tapping the new “add participants” button in the upper-right-hand corner to add up to two more people.

WhatsApp said group calls are always end-to-end encrypted, and the feature was designed “to work reliably around the world in different network conditions.”
