Remove content before it automatically disappears

When you share a post to your WhatsApp Status, it will automatically disappear after 24 hours. However, did you know you have the ability to delete your Status posts before they’re removed naturally? Our guide will show you how to delete a post from your WhatsApp Status.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the WhatsApp application on iOS. Also note, this process is a bit different on iOS and Android, but our guide will point out the differences.

Step 1: On iOS, tap “Status” in the bottom-left corner of the screen. On Android, go to the Status screen.

Step 2: On iOS, tap “My Status.” On Android, tap the three dots next to “My status.”

Step 3: On iOS, swipe from right to left on the post you wish to delete. On Android, tap and hold on the post you wish to delete.

Step 4: On iOS, tap “Delete.” On Android, tap the Trash icon.

Step 5: On iOS, tap “Delete” on the confirmation window that appears. On Android, tap “Delete.”
