What Of CQ's "More Generous" Vacation Policy?

Bob Merry recently sent CQ’ers a “memorandum outlining some changes to our vacation policy” …”more generous than the traditional one.”

All things in it look good, but a couple of CQ’ers have written us complaining about “an adjustment [that] will have to be made in the final pay package” if “an employee leaves the company while owing the company for vacation taken in excess of what has been earned up to that time.”

While this certainly isn’t exactly an unheard of company policy, is the possibility of having to pay CQ on your way out unsettling for their employees?
