The WGA‘s organizers, in an effort to prove that they are, too, doing something useful, wants reality show workers to avoid Tyra Banks and Co. ANTM somehow managed to cobble the remaining episodes of season 7 together, and are now on the prowl for “story producers” for season 8. The union warns:

DO NOT TAKE THIS JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS UNION BUSTING
SEND THE MESSAGE THAT WE WILL NOT BE SCABS

FBLA ran these 18 words through Flesch-Kincaid and found that the Writers’ Guild communicates at around a 3rd grade reading level.

The ANTM strikers are still out there. They’re appealing to the LGBT community (not that any Ts are going to make it through casting:

Since America’s Next Top Model premiered in May 2003, it has become one of the most queer-friendly shows on primetime. The show regularly features gay judges and coaches as well as openly gay model contestants. In 2004 and 2006, ANTM was nominated for GLAAD Media Awards for Outstanding Reality Program.

FBLA continues to stand by the striking writers. But, guys–day job? Maybe the WGA should hire some real writers.
