Wenner Media Returns to MPA Fold
Good news for the Magazine Publishers of America . Rolling Stone, Men’s Journal and Us publisher Jann Wenner has decided, after a twenty-year hiatus, to return his firm to the MPA. AdAge was first on this story.
Wenner Media’s return is something of a boon for the MPA, which in the last year has seen Elle publisher Hachette Filipacchi, Star publisher American Media. New York Magazine also left the group in 2009, only to rejoin. Wenner’s return further bolsters the group, which has been suffering thanks to a tough economic environment facing the magazine industry as a whole.
