By all rights, the first Weekend Update of each Saturday Night Live season should be stacked. Even more so when you add to a summer’s worth of material and extra long-lead punchline sweetening time a very proximate 2016 Republican presidential candidate.
Ahead of Saturday’s Season 41 debut, co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che spoke with TV Guide senior writer Rob Moynihan (the feature will be available starting Wednesday at tvinsider.com).
