Weekend Edition Of Wall Street Journal Now Features Coupon Inserts

Starting this Saturday, the Wall Street Journal will begin offering coupons in its Weekend Edition. The move is, of course, being touted by some media outlets as simply another battle in its ongoing war with The New York Times.

In fact, the coupon insert, called “SmartSource Magazine,” used to run in the Sunday edition of The New York Times until last month, when SmartSource owner News America Marketing (which is also owned by News Corp.) opted to switch to WSJ.
