Authors said that $1.99 and $2.99 price points helped sell books. Most people agreed that $12.99 is too high a price.
The Wylie Agency entered the digital publishing business and struck an exclusive deal with Amazon. Random House, Macmillan and indie bookstores were not pleased.
Amazon reported its earnings and said that eBooks are outselling hardcovers on its site.
Stieg Larsson sold more than a million eBooks.
