As volcanic ash clouds continue to spread across Europe, causing travel delays and cancellations, more and more businesses and people are turning to the web for conferencing and communication. In the past week, since the widespread air traffic bans began, video and web conferencing is thriving.

According to Advertising Age, web-conferencing services are reporting huge increases in traffic this week. GoToMeeting, a premier web-conferencing platform, saw their traffic double since the volcanic ash began shutting down flights and Cisco and Logitech have seen large increases in traffic as well.
