The Washington Times Names Ed Kelley as Editor

Former Oklahoman editor to oversee news and opinion content

The Washington Times announced that it has chosen Ed Kelley as its new editor. Kelly comes to the Times from his position as editor of The Oklahoman in Oklahoma City, which he first joined in 1975, and where he spent four years as Washington Correspondent/Bureau Chief. He'll officially start his new job at the Times on July 1.

“Kelley will provide editorial leadership for the news, as well as opinion content for Washington Times Media. Kelley will provide editorial leadership for the news, as well as opinion content for Washington Times Media,” said the press release, which repeatedly emphasized the role that Kelley will have in building the paper’s multi-media presence.
