Scammers are once again turning the latest news controversy into fodder for a luring curious clickers. Avoid clicking on any Facebook post referring to a video of Casey Anthony confessing to her lawyer, because all such links lead to malware, not the promised content.


The scam postings appear to be relying on several different web addresses off of Facebook, and more than one post, but all include the tell-tale misspellings and melodrama.

The good news here is that we’re seeing as many people warning each other about these bogus Casey Anthony postings as the original scams themselves. Most likely the community effort will help Facebook security rid the site of all future posts of this nature before long.
