WaPo’s Wesley Lowery, HuffPost’s Ryan Reilly Arrested in Ferguson, Mo.

The Washington Post’s Wesley Lowery, who covers Congress and national politics, and Ryan Reilly, a justice reporter for HuffPost Politics, were arrested this evening in Ferguson, Mo.

During the 7 o’clock hour, Lowery and Reilly first tweeted that SWAT entered the McDonald’s where they were patronizing and working, and later arrested the two.

After being released, Lowery tweeted that the two were assaulted in the process and released without charges, paperwork or even the names of the officers involved.

Lowery and Reilly are in Ferguson amid protests in the Missouri town after an unarmed African American teen – Michael Brown – was shot and killed by police on Saturday.
