WaPo's Unnamed Tankersley Project Beefs Up
Jim Tankersley’s unnamed data-driven story-telling project at WaPo (let’s call it “Project Y”) has brought on two new faces ahead of its early spring launch.
Jeffrey Guo is coming on as a number-cruncher and chart-maker. And Ryan McCarthy has been hired as an assistant business editor with responsibility for Project Y as well as Wonkblog. Guo is coming off of a yearlong fellowship as a reporter and researcher at the New Republic, while McCarthy most recently served as deputy editor of Reuters.com.
