WaPo Wants You to Get Its ‘Exclusives’ First

Dear E-Lert Subscribers to WaPo (yes, E-Lert is now a fun new phrase being used in WaPo advertising):

WaPo is giving you a way to get their exclusives first (providing they are, in fact, exclusives. We’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that the copy desk will provide proper attribution to pubs that land the scoop first, but time will tell.)

The new tool is: Post Exclusive alerts. As explained in an E-lert ad: “With Post Exclusives, you’ll get a quick heads-up and a link to major Post investigative and enterprise stories and exclusive online features—including video and interactive graphics—that take you deeper into the big stories.”
