  • Griff Witte has been named WaPo’s Berlin bureau chief. He’ll start next summer. Witte was most recently the paper’s London bureau chief. Witte will succeed Tony Faiola, who is shifting his focus to South America and the Caribbean.
  • Scientific American Mind, a bimonthly from Scientific American parent Nature Publishing Group, has named Tanya Lewis associate editor at Scientific American Mind. Previously she served as a staff writer for Business Insider and Live Science.
