Talk about work-life balance. One office in Amsterdam literally does a disappearing act by 6 p.m.! Music to our ears.
Employees at the design studio Heldergroen are literally out the door by that time. As per a piece on Adweek, their desks, tables and work surfaces (with computers attached, mind you) are hoisted to the ceiling by steel cables! Yes, the type of cables typically used to haul theatrical production props.
The really cool thing? Once all the office equipment is out of sight, out of mind, the space becomes available for evening and weekend use. Think yoga studio, dance floor, anything!
While we can imagine Heldergroen is getting a lot of press out of their arrangement, maybe other offices will follow suit?
