DigitalVollmann’s Tome Costs Too Much on KindleBy Craig Morgan Teicher|March 8, 2010 ShareBy Craig Morgan Teicher|March 8, 2010 ShareFair enough–publishers want flexibility on eBook pricing and don’t want to be locked into Amazon’s $9.99, but $31.19 is pushing it, don’t you think? It’s only $3 less than Amazon’s $34.65 price for the hardcover.Obviously, the print edition is a big book that must cost more than usual to print, bind, and ship, but can a publisher really justify $20 more for a few more KB of file? What do you think? Would you ever buy a $31 Kindle book? Adweek Adweek
