Virgin Mobile Ad Chief Exits

MediaPost is reporting that Scott Kelliher, who led mobile advertising for Virgin Mobile, has left to join AOL’s Platform-A ad division as category sales director for telecom, in what amounts to the latest high-level executive departure from the troubled MVNO.

Last month, the CFO of Virgin Mobile also resigned to become CFO of Lifelock (of all things), the company that advertises identity-theft protection.

The report said that while at Virgin Mobile, Kelliher helped developed the company’s Sugar Mama ad program, which rewarded users that agreed to view ads, respond to branded text messages and complete surveys earn free air time minutes.
