Village Voice Shut Out At Alt. Weekly Awards; Nikki Finke, Washington City Paper Among Winners
L.A. Weekly columnist Nikke Finke beat out Village Voice columnist Syd Schanberg at the 29th annual Association of Alternative Newsweeklies awards program, announced over the weekend. The Washington City Paper — whose editor, Erik Wemple, accepted and then last week rejected a job as editor of the Village Voice — won an award for music criticism.
