First Ever Critics' Choice TV Awards Will Debut as a Rerun

The absence of a live TV broadcast partner for the inaugural Critics’ Choice TV Awards, which were handed out over lunch today at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, is a function of the event being in its infancy. Show organizers were limited to a live online simulcast at VH1.com.

Still, it can’t be good for Wednesday’s scheduled TV airing on Reelz Channel that the winners are already being blasted across the news wire. Imagine how boring the Oscars or Emmys would be if you knew who the winners were on the Friday before the Sunday.

Unless you’re a red carpet fanatic or mad Mad Men fan, there seems to be very little reason to DVR the June 22nd broadcast hosted by Cat Deeley of So You Think You Can Dance? fame.
