CNN has named Brian Lowry a senior writer, focusing on media. Lowry had served as Variety’s TV columnist and critic since 2003.
Lowry previously spent seven years at The Los Angeles Times. At CNN, Lowry will cover streaming, TV and film news.
According to Deadline, Lowry’s appointment is effective April 26.
