Vanity Fair Veteran Punch Hutton Leaves Condé Nast

A 17-year run comes to a close.

Punch Hutton, who has worked for Vanity Fair for the past 17 years, is stepping down. Hutton started at VF as an assistant to editor Graydon Carter. She most recently served as deputy editor.

In a note to staffers obtained by the New York Post, Carter wrote that Hutton “decided she wants to make a change and move on once she has closed the April issue.”

“Punch wants to pursue new creative challenges, wherever they may be,” continued Carter. “I fully expect that she will be as successful in this new chapter of her life as she was in her Vanity Fair one.”
