Ustream on Facebook Is Ready for Action

With a little help from the Jonas Brothers, Ustream on Facebook is now allowing artists and brands to add live streaming video to pages with the Facebook Live Stream Box integrated, Ustream founder John Ham reported on the UStream.TV Blog.

Three Jonas Brothers events based on the release of the band’s Lines, Vines and Trying Times helped to kick-start the program’s launch, and Ham wrote that 1.5 million unique posts were made via Facebook Live Feed during the May 28 Webcast, or an average of 23,000 post per minute, and 974,000 unique viewers watched the one-hour event.

“Millions of people watch high-quality live streaming from major brands and events on Ustream,” Facebook platform program manager Josh Elman said on the UStream.TV Blog. “We’re excited that they can now interact with their Facebook friends while watching an integrated Ustream and Facebook Live Stream experience on Facebook pages and, in the future, on using Facebook Connect.”
