USA TODAY Sending Travel Media Exec to LA
The resume of Rudd Davis (pictured), newly named president of USA TODAY‘s Travel Media Group, encompasses a B.A. in philosophy from New York’s Bard College and the founding of his first multimedia company at age 24.
Even more impressive is the fact that Davis only joined USA TODAY a couple of years ago as vp of business development, and yet here he is, now headed to LA to occupy a heretofore non-existent position. From yesterday’s press release:
Davis will direct the overall strategy and implementation of business tactics with USA TODAY‘s travel partners, offering the on-the-go audience a broader array of information, products and services…
“From its inception, USA TODAY has been a pioneer in reaching the traveling audience, keeping them informed and entertained,” said Davis.
