USA TODAY Lost 100,000 Subscribers Thanks To Travel Slump

When travel suffers, USA Today suffers: The departing president/publisher Craig Moon, who announced his retirement yesterday, said that USA Today’s lost more than 100,000 subscribers thanks to the travel slump. Partnerships with hotel chains account for more than half of the paper’s circulation, and the travel slowdown has resulted in a reduction of more than 7 percent in the number of copies distributed in those hotels.
