Updated: Time Inc.’s Sunset, TOH Get Publishers

The deck-shuffling continues at Time Inc., whose Lifestyle Group has filled the publisher slots at two of its titles.

The Lifestyle unit was one of three magazine groups created in October as part of a massive reorganization and cost-cutting effort by Time Inc. as it struggles to adapt to declining ad revenues resulting from the economic downturn. Several top-level executives have left the company or changed jobs as a result of the changes.

At Sunset, Peter Medwid was named vp, publisher of the 1.2 million-circ title, replacing Kevin Lynch, who retired just before the reorg in October after 25 years at the company.

Medwid most recently was associate publisher, development, at Time Inc.’s Style and Entertainment Group, which includes People and Entertainment Weekly. Earlier, he held sales positions at Parade and Cosmopolitan magazines. He’ll start Jan. 6 and be based in New York.

At 969,333-circ This Old House, Charles Kammerer was named vp, publisher, starting immediately. Kammerer was recently publisher of Time Inc.’s Golf Magazine and left as part of the October reorganization; the company called his departure a mutual decision. At This Old House, he replaces Matt Turck, who was dismissed in the wake of the reorg. Earlier in his career, Kammerer helped relaunch Time Inc.’s erstwhile Life as a newspaper supplement and worked at Time magazine.
