Unmetric: The MLB Pennant Race Heated Up Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in September

The Los Angeles Dodgers led likes and comments across all three social networks

Teams battling for spots in Major League Baseball’s postseason upped their social media games in September, as the Arizona Diamondbacks had the most growth on Facebook for the month, while the Colorado Rockies led Twitter and the Instagram title went to the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers also led engagement on Twitter and Instagram, while the Atlanta Braves did so on Facebook.

Unmetric examined its cross-channel reports for all 30 MLB clubs from Sept. 1 through 30, and it also found that:

  • The New York Yankees showed no signs of surrendering the largest audience size across all three social networks.
