Facebook revealed the top trending games and publishers on its platform during Gamescom

Facebook revealed the most talked about video games and consoles on its platform during Gamescom, the German trade fair taking place Aug. 22 through 26.

During the week of Gamescom, Facebook said more than 14 million users were behind 29 million interactions (posts, comments, Reactions and shares) about Gamescom, popular video games and publishers.

Breaking down these interactions, Facebook revealed the top five trending game series and publishers, which saw the biggest growth in conversation during the week.

The top five trending games were:

  1. Uncharted
  2. Final Fantasy
  3. Marvel vs. Capcom
  4. WWE 2K
  5. Assassin’s Creed

Meanwhile, here were the top five trending publishers:

  1. Ubisoft
  2. Microsoft
  3. Bethesda
  4. Deep Silver
  5. Sony

Since E3 in June, Facebook said more than 50 million users have posted, commented on, liked or shared something related to console gaming. Leading up to Gamescom, Facebook also awarded the video game console, publisher and upcoming games that were most talked about on its platform since E3 in its “Facebook Gamescom Awards.”

The four winners were:

  • Most-talked-about upcoming game: FIFA 18
  • Most-talked-about upcoming new intellectual property: Days Gone
  • Most-talked-about publisher: Electronic Arts
  • Most-talked-about Console: Sony PlayStation
