Uber Expanding From Moving Passengers to Moving Parcels in NYC

uberushUber announced an extension to its New York City services today, a courier service that delivers packages for a minimum of $15. The pricing increases based on designated zones – each additional zone traveled gets an additional charge of $5. It’s currently available to all of Manhattan below 110th.

Messengers are not allowed to buy items for users, so don’t expect to ask a courier to pick up your lunch unless it’s already paid. Further, they’re going to be on foot or bikes so oversized packages are not doable.
